Today, we are thrilled to unveil our latest addition to our product lineup: wide-slat style crates. First created as a solution to meet a client’s urgent demand, these crates have quickly become a staple for gifting, storage, and product bundling across the country.

The story behind our wide-slat crates

The journey to introducing this new line began a couple of years ago when a renowned caterer in Atlanta approached us with a dilemma. They had an annual tradition of making elaborate gift crates for their clients during the holiday season. To make this happen, they had been purchasing standing fruit-style crates from Ikea, cutting the top row of slats off, assembling the parts, and adding their gifts. This process was not only time-consuming but also risky.

This particular year, they went to buy the crates only to find they were sold out nationwide. With very little time left in the season, they searched around until they found us. We were able to build the crates exactly as they needed, pre-assembled, ready to use, and delivered just in time for their holiday gifting needs.

Since then, the demand for these specialized crates has surged, prompting us to develop standardized sizes to meet the needs of our growing customer base.

Do you have a special design request? We will happily work with you to provide a quick and affordable solution. You can stain your crates in one of several different colors or even add custom elements like rope handles.

We take pride in personalized service and love helping our customers bring their unique vision to life. For example, the caterer who inspired our wide-slat crate collection asked us to stain their crates a dark chocolate brown. And we just shipped some custom crates in a sandal color to an East Coast grocer, who will use them to display their fruits and vegetables. The design options are as diverse as our clients.
